CHAMPNEYS MOVEMENT SCREEN

The Champneys movement screen focuses on the fundamentals with the number one goal of preventing injury. No gym goer should consider attempting any exercise program without first being screened for how they move. This is why we offer all our current members and new members a Champneys Movement Screen.  

The Champneys movement screen is a quick and easy way of screening fundamental movements before that movement is trained or added to your programme.  

The human body only move in 7 - 9 different ways and it is these ways in which we test –

  • Walking Gait
  • Lunge
  • Hinge
  • Squat
  • Active Hamstring
  • Upper body press
  • Upper body pull

The movement screen allows every one of our members to be tested in these fundamental movements. Any imbalances are highlighted and considered when programming specific for that person. This is why a one size fits all approach does not work.

Everyone moves differently and has gone through different activities, injuries etc so each programme will be different, and tailor made specifically for you
